Dataset Description (abstract)dc.description.abstractMetabolic alterations to the superior frontal gyrus (SFG) have been linked to cognitive decline and transition from Mild Cognitive Impairment to Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Whether these indicate structural atrophy, which could be screened for at a larger scale using non-invasive structural imaging is unknown. We assessed annual structural MRI scans and cognitive data from 3 consecutive years from 204 participants from the AD Neuroimaging Initiative database (mean age 72.24(8.175) years). We evaluated associations between brain structural changes and performance in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, Everyday Cognition visuospatial subtest (Ecog Visuospatial) and Functional Assessment Questionnaire. This dataset contains the MATLAB scripts with the analyses, and the results of the data extraction and quantitative image processing (i.e. volumetric measurements).en_UK
Dataset Description (TOC)dc.description.tableofcontentsThis dataset is composed of one excel spreadsheet, three MATLAB scripts, and 3 pdf files. The excel spreadsheet ADNI_Subsample_SR_Cognitive_Revision.xlsx contains the data and each MATLAB script (i.e. files with extension ".m") reads from a specific worksheet inside the spreadsheet to perform the analyses. The pdf files present the study that conducted the analyses.en_UK
