Dataset Description (abstract)dc.description.abstractThis dataset contributed to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine & Surgery (DVM&S) thesis "Diseases of wild birds of the Orders Passeriformes and Columbiformes - a review of conditions reported from the United Kingdom and an analysis of results from wild bird disease surveillance in Scotland 1994-2013" (Thomas Pennycott). The dataset contains images of eye and brain abnormalities encountered in fledgling choughs during the study period, and of some of the internal parasites of choughs. A searchable list of images is provided in a Word document, and the images and captions are presented together in two PDF documents. Individual images are included in JPEG format. Images from other species contributing to the same thesis can be found in this Collection at http://datashare.is.ed.ac.uk/handle/10283/2033 .en_UK
