Dataset Description (abstract) | dc.description.abstract | The data are numerical data used to produce Figs. 3, 6 and 7 in Keighren MA, Flockhart JH and West JD, 2016 Survival of glucose phosphate isomerase null somatic cells and germ cells in adult mouse chimaeras. Biology Open 5, 596-610. Doi 10.1242/bio.017111. Experiments involved production and analysis of Gpi1-/-↔Gpi1c/c mouse chimaeras. Some homozygous Gpi1-/- null somatic cells, lacking the glycolytic enzyme, glucose phosphate isomerase, survived in mouse chimaeras. Breeding experiments showed that some GPI-null oocytes and spermatozoa were viable and functional. | en_UK |
