This data set provides particle imaging velocimetry images of water flowing over both a swift and delta shaped model wing. 5 images are taken along the length of the wing to show the flow structure development, at x/l = 0.17, 0.33, 0.50, 0.67, 0.83, where x = the location of the image plane as measured from the apex, and l = the length of the wing from the apex to the tip. The folder structure and metadata reflects this.
The images are unprocessed and due to their formal (IM7) will most easily be processed using LaVision's DaVis software. However JPIV software can also read IM7 and is available free of charge at http://www.jpiv.vennemann-online.de/ .
The processed images show the development of a dual leading-edge vortex system on both models.
