John West's Research Group
The group uses mouse chimaeras, X-inactivation mosaics and transgenic mice for different studies. Their main interest is how cell production (from stem cells), proliferation, migration and loss are balanced in the mouse corneal epithelium to maintain a normal tissue and how this can go wrong in mutant mice with abnormal corneal epithelia.
